Since our last blog, the dynamic duo has had many ups and downs. Good news always comes first...Barcelona won the league chamionship last night! Wahoo!! The streets were crazy as you can see..
The natives were climbing lamp posts, setting off fireworks in the street- all and all having a ball, needless to say we jumped right in! Going to bed last night we tipped our hats to a glorious first day. Little did we know in less than 12 hours FATE would step in.
Now for the bad news...Waking up an hour late- due to lack of an alarm- we should have known it would be a day that would live in infamy. We should have known that the flying V of black crows that flew over us at Park Guell meant danger was lurking in the shadows of our future. However, at that time we had other things on our mind...
After embracing the locals with our kindness, we hopped on the nearest metro- BIG MISTAKE. A needy local citizen obviously observed Jodi's generous demeanor and we are SURE that after several seconds of deliberation on the crowded metro, he decided to "borrow" her wallet. AKA she was a victum to a dirty, filthy scoundrel who stealthly steals from kind-hearted Southern girls. After Jodi's mother declined her collect call we decided that there is only one person we can look to in these hardtimes.
We figured we needed to continue to seek the Big Man upstairs, therefore the rest of the day was consumed with stops to all the local cathedrals. Until we were hit with a big surprise...to be continued...

Ohhh my dear friends.... Jodi, i feel like you should have known this was coming because of that dream you had about Emily letting your stuff get stolen... You might be psychic. I wish I could have been there, actually I wish I was there currently instead I am looking out my window at work at a rainy DC... Also I like how the main picture is on top of my roof, therefore I feel like i am apart of this. Be safe!!! Love you both...
ReplyDeletebest part....jodi screaming at the end that God will give her justice. Oh you two....what I would give to be on that adventure. I've been thinking....we should all quit our jobs/abandon our future plans (law school, nursing stuff, financial institutes, and the political bull crap) and just move abroad and travel all the time....i think we could do it...life's too fun to have a job and be all serious. who's in. ps im jealous of you two right now....unbelievable
